Presentations and papers

Q : I am a presenter. When do I know my presentation schedule?
A : The session schedule will be determined taking into consideration all the complexities involved with organizing this large conference involving multiple stakeholders. It will be announced within October 2019. In cases where presenters need to appeal for time slot for exceptional reasons, the Conference Secretariat will take note and we will do our best to accommodate the request although we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all scheduling requests. In order to be considered, any such requests must be communicated to the Conference Secretariat by September 15, 2019 and it will be necessary that the presenter is already registered fully at the time that the request is submitted. It is each participant’s responsibility to arrive in time for the on-site conference registration which is scheduled in the early morning of December 5, 2019.

Q : How much time do I have to present my paper?
A : All presenters are required for PPT slides to present. Each presenter will be allocated approx. 12 minutes of presentation time. Discussion will be followed after presentations are finished. The chair of each panel will be provided with common guidelines for managing the session effectively.

Q : When and where should I send my PowerPoint and or presentation material?
A : The Conference Secretariat will not be collecting your PowerPoint and/or other presentation materials. However, you need to share your presentation materials (or paper if you have one) with the chair (and discussants if assigned) of your panel in advance. For those who have been accepted at the Conference as individual presenters, you will know your panel members when the conference program becomes available and you will be able to find out how to contact them.

Q : Am I required to submit the full paper before the presentation? Will there be a Conference publication?
A : We encourage submitting the full paper before November 15 for the panel discussant in advance. There will not be a compilation of any Conference publication as a whole. However, some participants may be approached by members of the organizers for various thematic and institutional publication initiatives, as your presentation may raise interests.
